Meet Juanita
Juanita is a native of Clemson, South Carolina, and a United States Air Force veteran. She met and married Randy, also an Air Force veteran, when they were both stationed at Seymour-Johnson Air Force Base, in Goldsboro, North Carolina. Together they have four grown sons, to whom it was Juanita’s pleasure to serve as a stay-at-home mom until their youngest son graduated from high school.
In 1995, while she was still in the military, Juanita heard the call from the Lord for ministry. It came one day when she was nervously preparing to brief other Airmen on preventative medicine. Her Superintendent, who saw her nervousness, told her that God wanted her to know that it was okay that she thought of herself as common. It was okay, because God wanted her to know that He could use that for His glory. Her Superintendent then quoted 1 Corinthians 1:26-29 to her.
Since that day, Juanita has gone on to serve alongside Randy in ministry, to teach Bible Studies, to speak at conferences, to write one other book, to collaborate on two devotional books, and to found The Unoffended Crusades. Regardless of what she has accomplished, or will accomplish in the future, Juanita admits that she needs and will always need the Lord to be and to do anything. It is for His glory and His renown that she lives; therefore, she would have it be no other way.
After North Carolina, Juanita and her family went on to live in Okinawa, Japan and then Las Vegas, Nevada, on military assignments. In the summer of 2022, by a direct order from the Lord, they moved to Randy’s hometown of Galesburg, Illinois. Randy currently serves as the Senior Pastor at Community Temple Church of God in Christ, in Galesburg.
Juanita’s first book is entitled, A Message for the Disciples… You Too, Peter. Publication of it was paused in October 2024 for a December 2024 release of the book's 15th Anniversary edition.
